Fundação Cultural de Timbó apresenta Mostra Fotográfica

No dia 02 de setembro, a partir das 19h30min, a Fundação Cultural de Timbó realiza a abertura da Mostra Fotográfica “Ladrão de Razão – Fotos da Alma” de Fabricio Schmidt, no Grão Espaço Cultural – Casa do Poeta Lindolf Bell. A exposição traz imagens ricas em sentimento e intensidade, captadas pelo jovem nascido na Alemanha, que tem na fotografia sua obsessão de vida. Cada fotografia transmite os sentimentos da alma, captados através das lentes. Com mãos hábeis e olhar investigador, Fabricio transforma as imagens em infinitas possibilidades ao expectador e o convida a experimentas diferentes olhares.

A Mostra reflete a alma do fotógrafo, através de sentimentos de desalojamento, desespero e solidão, querendo portanto, somente acreditar, esperar e amar. Durante a abertura, haverá música e um coquetel com entrada franca. A visitação acontece de 3 a 10 de Setembro, de terça-feira a domingo, das 8h30min às 11h30min e das 13h30min às 17h30min.

MAKING-OF: CUTTIN' THE EDGES!

DO IT YOURSELF: A HANDGRIP

Today I made a handgrip for my Praktica LTL3.
The LTL3 is very big and heavy and in the 70s a built-in grip wasn't very common.

What you need:

materials:
_ a grip of a hammer
_ a sheet metal (I used one of an IKEA rack)
_ screws (2 normal screws and a screw of a camera bag (I used the screw of the original bag of my Zeiss Ikon Nettar 518/16))
_ 2 (shim) washers (I used the washers of one of my Shimano XTR V-brakes)

tools:
_ saw
_ screwdriver
_ bench vise
_ drilling machine



First I cut the wood-handgrip to the right size. Then I flexed the sheet metal, 'cause the sheet was a 90°angle one.


After a 15minutes-work the grip for my LTL3 was ready:





And it works great!

MY FIRST SOLO EXHIBITION!

FILM VS. DIGITAL?!

Some days ago I bought the december 1998 issue of the DIGITAL CAMERA magazine.
The headline on the cover is:
"IS IT FILM OR DIGITAL?
- IT'S GETTING HARDER TO TELL THE DIFFERENCE"

Yes, this in 1998 and they showed a Leica R5 and a Leica Digilux which has got just 1.5MP on the cover with the headline.
And even the Pro-DSLR's in that time like the Canon EOS D2000/Kodak DCS-520 had got only 2.0MP. Aehm sorry, but every 35mm-toycamera is a real full frame camera;)

But okay, for me the question between film and digital isn't important, 'cause I'm still using both systems.
Therefore comes now my camera-picture-review FILM VS. DIGITAL:

CONSEQUENCE:
What is important? film/digital or just the picture?

Forget TTL, AF, zoom lens, Power booster, full automatic, program modes, white balance...
For me the only good photographic invention in the last 40 years is PHOTOSHOP.
But even photoshop doesn't make good pictures.
YOU make the picture. YOU decide!

Come on, a visit to the zoo isn't such boring as you think. I was at the weekend in the zoo and used my Praktica LTL3 and the Paximat 4.5/80-200 to shoot some drowsy animals.
But I adjusted the camera totally incorrect, aehm certainly calculated, because I wanted the Peter-Beard-Effect ;)
