Just how power have the shots that the PowerShot shoots?

The battery of the built-in flash of my Canon Powershot A 200 doesn't work and for that reason I've shot always without flash (the lens has a f-stop of 2.8).

Today I had the idea to use the Metz mecablitz 20BC6 with the PowerShot. But this little point&shoot camera doesn't have a HotShoe and of course no PC-port. But it doesn't matter, because you can fire the mecablitz manually.

For a more professional look I put the camera and the flash on the Porst Flashbar:

Without the flash-battery you can only photograph in the without flash mode and the manual settings of the PowerShot A200 are very limited.

With the mecablitz the pictures are certainly overexposed, but you can certainly modify the pictures with Photoshop.
